Rail Operations Group to run Class 442 charity charter

DERBY-based Rail Operations Group (ROG) will be running its first charter train on August 29. The formation with be two Class 442 EMUs.

ROG is best known for its movement of rolling stock from depot to works or storage, and this charter will benefit The Railway Children charity and is being run in conjunction with Vintage Trains, with the support of rolling stock owner Angel Trains.

With an approx. 09.00 start from London Waterloo runs to Poole via Guildford and Havant, setting down at Brockenhurst andBournemouth.  The return working from Poole is approx. 15.30, with an arrival back in the Capital at around 18.30, running via Winchester.

Fares are £79 first class including complimentary tea and coffee, or £59 standard class.
