Record-breaking train at Leighton Buzzard railway

LEIGHTON Buzzard Railway claimed world records for the number of locomotives hauling a passenger train and the number of locomotives built by the same manufacturer to haul a train on May 29.

The record-breaking effort was the highlight of LBR’s Simplex Centenary Gala, marking the 100th anniversary of the start of production of Motor Rail locomotives in nearby Bedford.

It was adjudicated by Clifton Flewitt, vice-chairman of the HRA in Ireland.
