New Severn valley diesel shed opens

THE Severn Valley Railway’s (SVR) new £3million three-road diesel depot was officially opened by Network Rail chairman Sir Peter Hendy on May 20.

For more than 20 years, the SVR and its diesel department volunteers have had to work with some very basic facilities, both in engineering and staff terms.
