Want to win a piece of railway history?

Virgin Trains is auctioning a number of nameplates from Pendoliono and Class 57 ‘Thunderbird’ locos, with the proceeds being donated to its charity partner, Rethink who support people with mental illnesses. 

The nameplates are as removed from the loco or trailer vehicles so have a ‘weathered’ look.

The plates for sale are as follows with the reserve prices:

You can bid via email to stating your name, your address, the plates you are wishing to bid, along with the sum of money you are willing to pay. Maximum of three bids per person. 

Your bid must at least match the reserve price. It will all go to support our charity partner, Rethink Mental Illness and other good causes.

The auction will close on Friday 14 June 2019 at 17:00. Winners will be notified the following week. 

Payment can be made via Rethink’s Justgiving fundraising page, details of which will be provided. All payments must be made by Friday 28 June 2019. 

Winners will be responsible for collecting their nameplate.
