Dispute-hit Class 66 plant to close

A bitter dispute between the workforce at EMD’s London, Ontario, manufacturing facility and the plant’s owners, Progress Rail, has led to a decision to close the plant.

Barrow Hill’s ‘Fab Four’ gala has now become one of the ‘must visit’ events of the year having secured an additional three high profile locomotives from the National Railway Museum. It takes the total number of steam locos at the gala, which runs from April 13-15, to 17.
Two A4s WILL be repatriated from North America

Agreement has been reached by the National Railway Museum to temporarily repatriate to the UK the two A4 Pacifics that are resident in Canada and the United States.

Between April 13-15, Barrow Hill Roundhouse is hosting it’s ‘Fab Four’ gala that will feature the first ever preservation line-up of A1, A2, A3 and A4 LNER Pacific locomotives.
