PEPPERCORN ‘A1’ Pacific No. 60163 Tornado surpassed the 100,000 mile mark during its recent visit to the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

The mileage milestone is a significant achievement for the loco and the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust (A1SLT), which this year celebrate the 10th anniversary of Tornado’s completion.
During the last decade No. 60163 has notched up a succession of high-profile achievements, both on the main line and on heritage railways, with each furthering the promotion of steam with the general public.
