A planned strike on Friday by railway cleaners and catering workers has been suspended after a new pay offer was made.
Members of the Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) employed by private contractors on TransPennine Express (TPE) trains were due to walk out for 24 hours.
The workers, employed by Rail Gourmet and Bidvest Noonan, have previously taken industrial action.

The union said it will consult members on an offer of a 3.6% pay rise.
RMT general secretary Eddie Dempsey said: “We are sending a message to employers that outsourced workers should not be expected to put up with low pay.
“Ultimately we want the Government to act and bring outsourced workers in-house where they belong.”
