by

GWR 0-6-0PT No. 5764 is seen inside the Severn Valley Railway’s Bridgnorth paint shop on February 19.

The ‘57XX’ is being prepared for a re-paint into LT ‘bullock maroon’ as No. L95, part of a cosmetic restoration, which will see the loco go back on display in the Engine House at Highley later this year, taking its place in a planned new exhibition.

It is expected the finishing touches will be applied on arrival at Highley, owing to the high demand for the paint shop, allowing visitors to the Engine House to watch the work being carried out.
