New look for Vivarail unit

VIVARAIL has repaired the damage to DMU No. 230001 and introduced a number of modifications.

It has also used the opportunity to give the set a new livery.

Vivarail Class 230 prototype No. 230001 carries a new,
fresh-looking livery following damage after an underframe fire at the end of 2016.

The work follows an engine fire that caused minor underfloor and smoke damage to the unit on December 30 last year.

Gone are large panels of green livery, white now the dominant colour, with a green line above the sole bar. The doors are now grey, not green, but the cab ends are fully yellow, extending down the edge of the body.

At the time of the fire the Class 230 had been operating as a two-car unit, but now Vivarail has completed the internal fit out of a trailer car, which has been added to the rake. This has both table and airline seats.
