TWO English Electric 350hp 0-6-0DEs were seen departing simultaneously from Severn Valley Railway (SVR), Kidderminster station on August 22.

This loco was renumbered as TOPS 09012 and was named by the late, well-known career railwayman Richard Hardy at Stewarts Lane open day on April 10, 1988.

It was withdrawn from main line service in 2004 and acquired by the SVR in February 2003 un-named, in departmental grey. It was subsequently restored to original BR green livery in June 2015, and its name reinstated. Picture: BEN BUCKI
