‘B12’ reaches Bridgnorth

by

HOLDEN ‘B12’ 4-6-0 No. 8572 arrived at the Severn Valley Railway on February 8 ahead of the railway’s Spring Steam Gala on March 16-18.

At the time of writing the M&GN Society locomotive was the first of the gala guests on site, with the Great Western Society’s BR blue ‘King’ No. 6023 King Edward II arriving from Didcot by road on February 22.

The North Norfolk Railway’s ‘B12’ 8572 is shunted on to shed at Bridgnorth in preparation for next month’s spring diesel gala.

Of the other guests, Thompson ‘B1’ No. 1264 was nearing the end of its repaint into LNER lined black at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as we went to press, while ‘A1’ No. 60163 Tornado and the Vintage Carriages Trust’s Bellerophon were due to reach the railway during March.
