In Switzerland, metre gauge operator Rhätische Bahn (RhB) has been operating two pairs of trains between Davos Platz and Filisur, using heritage locos and historic rolling stock, including open air vehicles, between May 10 and October 28, replacing the normal trains. All normal tickets and rail passes are accepted on these heritage services without any additional payment.
RhB has normally used one of the two 1928 vintage Ge6/61 ‘Krokodil’ locos it retains for heritage services. Fifteen of these locos were built between 1921 and 1929 and most were in service until 1984, the last two (Nos. 414 and 415) were transferred to heritage duties in 2008.
