Readers Gallery 1 - Jack Boskett
3 February 2011
Having started photography aged 7 using a Pentax K1000 35mm, and winning my first photographic competition soon after, over the years, I developed my photographic skills and knowledge and also studied the work amateur and professional photographers who gave presentations at our local railway club. Aged 15, I was given a Mamiya 645 medium format camera but currently use a Nikon D3 full frame digital SLR which gives me total flexibility. After my A levels, I worked at the Long Marston storage site and organised the 2009 open day. From the contacts that developed, aged just 19, I started my own photography business, specialising in weddings, portraits, etc, as well as commercial subjects, and of course, railways.
